Teacher Agreement

Version 1, in effect from October 13, 2026

This agreement is for teachers who open a teaching site on Bridge Instructors. You accept it with a tick box before your site is made. It sits alongside our terms and conditions and privacy policy, which apply to everyone using Bridge Instructors.

  1. Who we are and what this covers
  2. Your teaching site
  3. Plans, fees and our share
  4. Payments, taxes and refunds
  5. Your content
  6. Your students and their data
  7. The BI Assistant
  8. What is not allowed
  9. Failed payments, suspension and ending
  10. Availability, liability, changes, law and contact

1. Who we are and what this covers

This agreement is between Bridge Instructors LLC ("Bridge Instructors", "we", "us") and you, the person or business opening a teaching site on bridgeinstructors.com ("you"). It applies from the moment you tick "I agree".

Some words we use:

  • Your site: the teaching website we host for you, at name.bridgeinstructors.com and, if you add one, your own domain.
  • Your students: the people who sign up on your site, buy from you, or whom you add yourself.
  • Your content: everything you or your team put on your site: lessons, videos, deals, quizzes, articles, pictures, events, products and texts.
  • Sales: what your students pay through your site for lessons, memberships, events and shop items.
  • Your team: people you give access to your site. You are responsible for what they do there.

If you accept on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.

2. Your teaching site

  • Building is free. Until you publish, your site is a draft: you and your team can use everything, the public sees a "Coming soon" page, and nothing can be sold. A draft has some limits (for example on the number of lessons and students, and on use of the BI Assistant), shown in your pro area.
  • Publishing means choosing a plan (section 3) and paying for it. Your site then goes live and can take payments.
  • Your address. You get name.bridgeinstructors.com. You may also connect a domain you own; you keep owning it, pay for it yourself, and set its DNS as we describe. We may refuse or change a subdomain name that is misleading, offensive, or someone else's name or trademark.
  • Inactive drafts. We may remove a draft that has not been used for 12 months, after telling you by email at least 30 days before.

3. Plans, fees and our share

Every plan has the same features. They differ only in how you pay us:

PlanWhat you pay usOur share of your sales
Partscore$199 once, when you publish20%
Game$79 a month, or $790 a year10%
Slam$249 a month, or $2,490 a year3%
  • Our share is taken from each sale of lessons, memberships, events and shop items made through your site. It is never taken on shipping, on taxes you collect, or on bookings of you as a pro (games, private lessons, tournaments). It is deducted automatically when your student pays (section 4).
  • Monthly and yearly fees are paid in advance in US dollars and renew automatically until you cancel. The yearly price is two months cheaper than paying monthly.
  • Changing plan. A move to a higher plan starts at once, and you pay only the difference for the rest of the period. A move to a lower plan starts at the end of the period you have paid for. The Partscore fee is paid once per site, even if you move to Game or Slam and later back.
  • Founding teachers. Teachers who had a teaching site on Bridge Instructors before self-service sign-up opened pay no publish fee, ever, and a share of 5% for 12 months from their first sale. About a month before those 12 months end, we will send you your own figures and which plan would suit you best, and you then choose a plan.
  • Price changes. We may change prices or shares for the future, with at least 30 days' notice by email. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

4. Payments, taxes and refunds

  • Your own Stripe account. Your students pay you through your own Stripe account, connected to Bridge Instructors. You are the seller: the money is yours, and Stripe pays it out to you on its usual schedule. You accept Stripe's own terms, and you keep your Stripe account in good standing.
  • Our share is taken by Stripe at the moment of each payment and sent to us; the rest goes to you. Stripe's own processing fees are charged to your account, as with any Stripe payment.
  • Taxes. You decide your prices and are responsible for any sales tax, VAT or income tax on your sales, and for showing the right tax to your students. We are responsible for taxes on our own fees.
  • Refunds to your students are yours to decide, within your own refund policy and the law. When you refund a sale, our share of it is refunded too.
  • Chargebacks. If a student disputes a payment with their bank, Stripe handles it with you. If the dispute is lost, our share of that sale is returned to you, but chargeback fees stay with your account.
  • Our fees. The Partscore publish fee can be refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of paying and your site has not yet made a sale. Monthly and yearly fees are not refunded for a period already started, but you can cancel at any time so they do not renew.

5. Your content

  • It stays yours. You keep all rights in your content. You give us permission to store it, copy it as needed to run the service (for example backups and resized pictures), and show it on your site, in your students' accounts, in the Bridge Instructors app, and in the listings that help people find you (such as the list of teachers and your profile). This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in backups, which expire on their normal schedule.
  • You have the right to use it. You confirm that you own your content or have permission to use it, including videos, pictures, book texts and other people's deals or articles. Bridge deals and hands themselves are facts and free to use; someone else's written analysis of them is not.
  • Showing Bridge Instructors. With your permission only, we may show your site or quote it to present Bridge Instructors to other teachers.
  • Removing content. We may remove content that breaks this agreement or the law, or that we are asked to remove under a valid legal notice (for example a copyright notice). We will tell you why, unless the law stops us.

6. Your students and their data

  • Shared responsibility. You decide whom you teach and what you send them; we run the service that stores their details. Your students also have their own Bridge Instructors account, covered by our privacy policy.
  • Importing a list. When you import students or clients (from a spreadsheet or any file), you confirm that these people know you and that you are allowed to share their details with us. Only mark people as subscribed to your newsletter if they agreed to receive it.
  • Emails to students. Emails you send through Bridge Instructors must be about your teaching and lessons, must not be spam, and always carry an unsubscribe link, which we add for you. If someone unsubscribes, you must not add them back without their new consent.
  • Use of student details. You may use your students' details only for your teaching and your bridge work with them. You must not sell them or give them to others.
  • When you leave, you can download your student list (section 9). Your students keep their Bridge Instructors accounts and what they bought from you, unless they ask us to delete them.

7. The BI Assistant

  • What it is. The BI Assistant ("BIA") is an AI helper that builds and changes your site at your request. It runs on an AI model from Anthropic. What you type, and the files and pages you give it, are sent to Anthropic to produce its answers. Anthropic does not use them to train its models.
  • You stay in charge. BIA shows you its changes before saving them, and most can be undone. You are responsible for checking what it writes before you publish it, as you would with any helper. It can make mistakes.
  • How much you can use it. A draft site includes a set amount of BIA use. A published site includes a monthly amount that depends on its plan, and you can buy more. The amount left is shown in the assistant.
  • Fair use. Do not use BIA for anything unrelated to your site and teaching, or to produce content that this agreement does not allow.

8. What is not allowed

You and your team must not use your site or Bridge Instructors to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else break it;
  • publish content you do not have the right to use;
  • publish content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or misleading about who you are or what you sell;
  • sell anything other than bridge teaching, bridge-related services and products, and things that go naturally with them;
  • help players cheat in bridge games or tournaments;
  • send spam, or collect people's details without their agreement;
  • try to get into other people's accounts or sites, overload the service, or get around its limits or payments.

If you see a problem on another site, tell us at support@bridgeinstructors.com.

9. Failed payments, suspension and ending

  • A failed payment. If your plan's fee cannot be charged, we email you and try again for 14 days. If it still fails, your site goes back to "Coming soon": the public cannot see it and nothing can be sold. Your students keep access to everything they already bought, and nothing is deleted. Paying again brings your site back as it was.
  • Suspension. We may suspend your site, or part of it, if you seriously or repeatedly break this agreement, if the law requires it, or to protect students or the service. Unless it is urgent, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
  • Ending it yourself. You can close your site at any time from your pro area. Your plan then stops renewing, and the site closes at the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Ending it ourselves. We may end this agreement with 30 days' notice, or at once if you seriously break it. If we end it without you having broken it, we refund the unused part of any fee you paid in advance.
  • After the end. For 30 days you can download your content and your student list. After that we may delete your site and content, except what we must keep by law (for example payment records). Your students keep their accounts and what they bought, as far as we can still provide it.

10. Availability, liability, changes, law and contact

  • Availability. We work to keep Bridge Instructors running and your content backed up, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We will tell you in advance about planned maintenance that may take your site offline.
  • Services we rely on. Payments run on Stripe, video on the platforms you choose (such as Vimeo or YouTube), play on Shark Bridge, and the assistant on Anthropic. We are not responsible for their outages or their own terms.
  • Limits on liability. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data you could have exported, or indirect losses. Our total liability to you over any 12 months is limited to the fees and share you paid us in those 12 months.
  • Your responsibility. You will cover our reasonable costs if someone makes a claim against us because of your content, your sales, or your breaking this agreement.
  • Changes to this agreement. We may update it. We will email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you, and you can close your site before it applies if you do not agree. Earlier versions stay available on this page.
  • Law. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and disputes go to the state and federal courts in Palm Beach County, Florida.
